2025 Hyundai Kona vs 2025 Hyundai Tucson
Serving Cartersville, GA
Deciding between popular Hyundai crossover SUV models like the 2025 Kona and the 2025 Tucson is challenging to do. Both of these two-row models show off modern styling and are equipped with the latest features and technologies. The 2024 Kona debuted the line’s second generation, so the model is unchanged going into 2025. The 2025 Tucson has a refreshed look and a few new tech features. What are the other notable differences between these models?
Performance
The Kona’s first two trim levels receive 147 horsepower from a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine—the unit pairs with a CVT. The top trim levels feature a 190-horsepower, turbo 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine with an eight-speed auto transmission. All Kona trims are available with front-wheel or all-wheel drivetrains. The Hyundai Tucson features an 187-horsepower, four-cylinder engine with an auto eight-speed transmission. A 226-horsepower, four-cylinder hybrid engine with a six-speed automatic transmission is also available.
Appearance
The 2025 Hyundai Kona stands out on the road with its lean, flowing profile and geometric, thick molding. The sides are boldly defined for an edgy look. On the nose, an LED bar across the entire length above the grille. Triangular accents flank the rectangular grille. The Hyundai Tucson is a larger, taller model with boldly angled side accents and a curved profile. Its body molding is comparable to the Kona’s in terms of style and placement, but it is thinner. The grille is designed with a linear, staggered mesh pattern, and stacked headlights flank the grille. Additional LED lighting is mounted in the air inlets.
Features
The Kona is smartly equipped with features like a driver attention warning, USB ports, a 12.3-inch touch display screen, lane centering, voice recognition, an integrated navigation system, a digital key, a wireless smartphone charger, adaptive cruise control, an eight-speaker Bose audio system, a sunroof, automated parking, a blind-spot camera, parking sensors, a heated steering wheel, and a surround-view camera. The Tucson includes many of these features: a hands-free power liftgate, a tow hitch, a panoramic sunroof, parking collision avoidance, driver’s memory settings, and leather upholstery.
